About
I’m Mike Gonzalez, a design engineer and AI product designer in Phoenix, Arizona. I work between product strategy, interaction design, prototyping, and production code. I’m most useful when the product is ambiguous, the interaction model is still being invented, and a polished prototype can help a team make the right decision.
I currently build creator tools at vidIQ. Before that I designed conversational AI at Paradox, where I worked on recruiting agents, enterprise tools, and candidate experiences. That work taught me how to make powerful automation understandable, trustworthy, and useful to people who are trying to get real work done.
Outside of my full-time work, I build experiments such as gonzXP, Quadshot, prompt.cafe, and monarchOS. They let me explore personal computing, agent collaboration, generative interfaces, and software with a distinct point of view. I grew up on AIM, MySpace, and World of Warcraft, and I still care about the feeling that computers can be surprising, expressive, and a little magical.
